This skill targets a practical lesson-planning problem: learning objectives are often written as understand or appreciate, teaching activities are chosen before goals are defined, assessments drift away from activities, and learner analysis relies on intuition rather than evidence such as prior knowledge, ability baseline, likely difficulties, and interests. Aligned Learning, Teaching, and Assessment Design reframes lesson preparation from a teacher-centered script to a professional design of how students learn, how success is evidenced, and how instruction supports that learning.

How the skill works

The skill follows a CLTA-style aligned design template and uses backward design: define goals first, then assessment, then activities.
- Input validation: it asks for the lesson topic, textbook source, learner level, lesson type, and clear images of the textbook pages before generation begins.
- Evidence-based analysis: it breaks curriculum standards into what students learn, to what depth, and how they learn it, then analyzes textbook sequencing and learner implications.
- Goals and assessment: it writes observable, measurable objectives using the four elements of subject, behavior, condition, and degree, then maps each objective to assessment tasks and assessment points.
- Activity alignment: it organizes lesson stages, learner activities, and embedded assessment points, then checks consistency among goals, assessments, and activities.

Scope and cautions

This is useful for lesson design, lesson-plan diagnosis, and instructional optimization in education contexts, but it does not replace teacher judgment about classroom realities. Learner data fields such as collection, analysis, issues, and strategies are intentionally left blank rather than invented. If textbook images are unavailable, the skill may only supplement from confirmed textbook metadata, so version mismatches can remain.
