About this skill
Problem
For Grade 9 students, wrong questions are often treated as one-off corrections: after a test is marked, it is hard to know which topics keep causing errors or whether the root issue is concept, calculation, reading, memory, or application. Grade 9 Multi-Subject Error Book turns that process into a searchable, analyzable, and practice-oriented local record. It covers Chinese, Math, English, Physics, Chemistry, History, Moral Education and Law, and Geography, making it useful for targeted Zhongkao review rather than producing full mock exams.
How It Works
- Error entry: users can paste a clear photo of a question or type the question manually. The system extracts the content, estimates subject, topic, and error type, and writes structured records to
error-log.json. - Analysis: it groups errors by topic and five error types (concept, calculation, reading, memory, application), tracks mastery and trends, and flags repeated errors with
repeat_count >= 2. - Practice and planning: it generates basic, intermediate, and comprehensive practice around weak topics, can build weekly or pre-exam review plans, and adds Ebbinghaus-based review pacing, topic explanations, and problem-solving methods.
- Progress tracking: it produces text summaries and improvement comparisons based on logged errors and practice records, suitable for parent reporting.
Limits
It works best with clear images and Grade 9 content; blurry, reflective, or heavily scribbled photos need retaking or manual entry. Each analysis or practice session is limited to one subject, and all data is stored locally, so moving to another computer requires migration. It does not guarantee fully accurate topic matching and is not a replacement for teacher grading or instruction.
Use Cases
- A Grade 9 student logs daily Physics and Math errors from photos, then reviews weak topics by knowledge point and error type.
- A parent generates a weekly practice plan and report from the error log, then checks mastery changes for the child.
- Ten days before an exam, a student builds an Ebbinghaus-based sprint plan and requests targeted practice on weak topics.
- A student asks for a plain-language explanation of quadratic vertex form, with an example and common pitfalls.
Best For
- Grade 9 students: want subject-wise error tracking and targeted basic, intermediate, and comprehensive practice.
- Parents: want to see weak topics, review plans, and weekly learning reports.
- Self-studying students preparing for Zhongkao: need error tracking, topic explanations, and pre-exam sprint plans.
- Learning-assist users: want local error-log based analysis and progress comparison.
