Decisions such as whether to take a train or plane from A to B, how to group a multi-day trip by region, and which city attractions fit into one day require real route data instead of rough estimates. travel-planing handles route planning, transport recommendations, and itinerary optimization, using map tools to obtain real-time route data. It splits the work into intercity travel, city sightseeing, and multi-day planning, reducing decisions based only on straight-line distance.

How it works

• Intercity travel: prefer flights when distance is over 1000km; prefer direct services when available.
• City sightseeing: group nearby attractions on the same day, calculate actual distance and time between spots with map tools, schedule about 2-3 main attractions per day with time for transit and rest, and consider opening hours.
• Multi-day itinerary: group destinations by geographic region to avoid backtracking, use map navigation for real-time route options, and annotate the estimated time for each segment.
  The output can be carried into field-based follow-up requests, making it useful for producing a workable itinerary and an initial draft when no route plan already exists.
