About this skill

What It Solves

When people hesitate over buying a home, choosing a car, or allocating investments, the blocker is often not missing information but unranked preferences. Budget, commute, school district, safety, liquidity, and brand expectations can all compete at once, making the final choice feel arbitrary. paradoxica turns this into a structured interview: it does not decide for the user, but converts vague answers such as "I don't care" into explicit weights, then grounds the recommendation in checkable data.

How It Works and Where It Fits

The skill first classifies the request as housing, car, investment, or a mixed scenario. It then asks one core-weight question to set the analytical baseline, followed by 3 to 9 multiple-choice follow-ups covering budget, use case, risk tolerance, commute, space, duration, and non-negotiable constraints. For market prices, policies, mortgage rates, sales rankings, fund NAV, or macro indicators, it calls for WebSearch or financial data tools instead of guessing.

The output should be concrete: housing down to neighborhood or property type, cars to model, investments to asset class or candidate instrument, with data timing, at least two risk notes, and actionable next steps. It fits indecision, competing goals, or budget-vs-need conflicts. It is not a licensed financial, real estate, or legal advisory service, and should not replace local due diligence.

Use Cases

  • A buyer torn between two homes needs a comparison by budget, commute, school district, age, and loan terms, then a concrete viewing plan.
  • A car shopper unsure about fuel type and budget wants to turn usage, space, and resale value into a shortlist of candidate models.
  • Someone with cash available for 1-3 years needs a deposit, fund, bond, or gold comparison based on horizon and risk tolerance.
  • A homebuyer with conflicting upgrade and appreciation goals needs the budget conflict exposed and the next concrete step recommended.

Best For

  • Home buyers or switchers who need to rank budget, commute, school district, loan limits, and living quality.
  • Car shoppers who need to compare brand, space, efficiency, driving experience, and resale value on one checklist.
  • Investors with idle cash who need to define horizon, risk tolerance, and liquidity before comparing deposits, funds, bonds, or gold.
  • Decision-makers who want a fixed question workflow to turn vague preferences into explicit weights.
