About this skill

Problem it addresses

When work gets intense, people often forget to hydrate or rely on thirst alone. By the time thirst appears, mild dehydration may already be present. This skill turns “how much to drink, when to drink, and how much has been consumed” into a practical conversational workflow for office sedentary work, light exercise, and hot-weather hydration.

How it works

  • Estimate baseline intake: uses weight(kg) × 30ml as a baseline, then adjusts for exercise, temperature, and daily rhythm.
  • Schedule drinking windows: splits the daily target into 7-8 time points to reduce one-off large volume and avoid heavy late-evening intake.
  • Track in-session progress: after the user reports a drink, it records current progress, remaining volume, and completion percentage, then suggests the next step.
  • Respect medical boundaries: for kidney disease, heart failure, infants, or competitive sports hydration, it defers to doctors or specialists instead of giving a concrete plan.

Boundaries and notes

It behaves like a hydration planning assistant, not an automatic notification service and not a replacement for a phone alarm or hydration app. Drinking records are stored only in the current session and are not persisted after the conversation ends. For chronic conditions, persistent symptoms, long-term low intake, or rapid large-volume drinking, follow medical advice. It does not collect long-term personal data and does not send automatic reminders.

Use Cases

  • When long coding or meeting sessions make hydration easy to miss, generate an all-day timed drinking plan based on weight and activity.
  • During remote work, split the daily water target into several time points and log progress plus remaining volume after each drink.
  • On exercise days or hot days, adjust hydration guidance while avoiding one-off large intake and getting small-frequent reminders.
  • Check whether the daily water target is met by viewing completion percentage, remaining volume, and the next recommended intake.

Best For

  • Sedentary engineers or product colleagues who easily forget hydration during long work blocks
  • Light exercise users who want training-aware daily hydration guidance without a dedicated hydration app
  • Remote workers who want to break a water target into actionable meeting-gap time points
  • Health-conscious users who want a general adult intake range before deciding whether to consult a doctor
