Problem

When analyzing an industry competitive landscape, the hard part is often not writing the report but keeping the data auditable: constituents, revenue, market share, CR5/CR10, moats, and five-forces analysis all depend on consistent financial definitions. This skill constrains the analysis to the Gildata MCP financial database, prohibiting third-party data, estimates, or fabricated tool responses, which reduces reports that look complete but cannot be verified.

How It Works

The skill retrieves and computes data through jy-financedata-api and jy-financedata-tool:
- Identifies comparable companies using StockBelongIndustry and IndustryConstituentStocks;
- Calls IndustryFinancialAnalysis for industry revenue, growth, and related metrics;
- Calls FinancialStatement for each company sequentially, extracting data by priority: latest annual report, prior annual report, interim report, then quarterly report;
- Calculates market share, CR5/CR10/CR20, YoY growth, gross margin, and net margin, with mandatory formula notes and citations;
- Produces a structured report with executive summary, leader identification, share trends, barriers, five-forces analysis, and screening candidates.

Scope and Cautions

It is best for source-traceable analysis based on disclosed database fields, not purely opinion-driven writing. If the MCP returns no data, the report should show “-” and record query details instead of filling gaps with estimates; calculated fields must show formulas. Ensure mcporter and the Gildata MCP services are configured, and include the required disclaimer at the end of each report.
