About this skill

Problem

When manufacturers roll out WCM SHE, the bottleneck is usually not awareness but execution: risk assessments stay on paper, LOTO becomes switch-off only, hidden hazard ledgers do not close, multi-site metrics are hard to compare, and environmental/occupational health data is scattered across separate sheets. This coach targets equipment centers, production operations, and EHS functions, turning safety, health, and environment from compliance checkpoints into a sustainable culture. It emphasizes a sequence: identify risks, validate controls in a pilot area, replicate the method, then assess and stabilize.

How It Works

  • Four-phase model: Phase A builds risk identification and compliance baseline, including JSA, training matrix, and pilot selection; Phase B implements JSA, LOTO, hazard closure, emergency drills, and hazardous waste ledgers; Phase C expands to more areas with BBS, occupational health monitoring, and emissions monitoring; Phase D covers SKILL maturity assessment, safety culture diagnostics, and benchmark replication.
  • SHE-1 to SHE-8 toolkit: spans risk identification, dual prevention, energy isolation, behavior-based safety, emergency response, occupational health, environmental ledgers, and system audits. For high-risk tasks, it structures analysis as steps, hazard identification, L×S scoring, and control measures. For hazards and near misses, it pushes grading, corrective action, acceptance, and CAPA closure.
  • Prioritization: uses weighted scoring across risk severity, compliance rigidity, urgency, feasibility, replicability, and data availability, helping EHS teams choose high-risk, compliance-critical, executable topics rather than easy wins.

Boundaries and Notes

It is scoped as an SHE implementation coach, not a replacement for WSPM architecture design, other pillar coaching, specific safety equipment operation guidance, liability determination, or third-party certification. It does not read MES, EHS, or environmental monitoring databases directly; output quality depends on user-provided site, line, chemical, hazard, training, and emission data. When inputs are missing, it marks the assessment as constrained. It is useful for rollout plans, checklists, assessment reports, multi-site comparisons, and closure reviews.

Use Cases

  • Before site startup, inventory regulations, permits, and 12-month monitoring data to list compliance gaps.
  • Before maintenance, decompose tasks, identify hazards, score L×S, and list LOTO energy points.
  • Compare sites on hazard closure rate, near-miss reporting, and BBS %Safe to find rollout bottlenecks.
  • During phase review, generate Phase A-D acceptance criteria, bottlenecks, and next-step actions.

Best For

  • EHS manager for multiple sites, needing a Phase A risk-identification and compliance baseline plan.
  • Site plant manager, needing pilot JSA/LOTO implementation and hazard closure acceptance.
  • Line supervisor, needing JSA, LOTO, and near-miss analysis before maintenance or cleaning.
  • SHE coordinator, needing multi-site metrics, BBS tracking, and safety culture maturity review.
