Problem to solve
- A newly deployed Agent often lacks a stable identity: who it serves, what boundaries it should keep, how memory accumulates, and how scheduled work is triggered.
- Hand-maintained files such as
SOUL.md,AGENTS.md, andMEMORY.mdcan drift, leave placeholders, or break across roles.
How it works
King runs a state-machine onboarding flow. Each state explains the current goal, asks one question at a time, shows a preview, and writes files only after user confirmation. Skipped modules receive defaults marked as editable.
- Phase 1 writes four root files: SOUL.md for identity, scope, fixed principles, and style; AGENTS.md for the fixed middle-platform triangle plus customized roles; MEMORY.md for user context and active projects; HEARTBEAT.md for scheduled intelligence and Cron configuration.
- Existing files trigger an overwrite prompt instead of silent replacement.
- Phase 2 reads SOUL.md, extracts identity and usage keywords, searches skillhub.cn, presents matched skills, installs confirmed ones, and explains how each skill is triggered.
- An optional Tencent employee path can install iWiki MCP and create an iWiki knowledge-base structure from the role list in AGENTS.md.
Boundaries
It is an initialization wizard, not a substitute for domain expertise. Defaults need review, Phase 2 depends on live SkillHub results, and the Tencent extension is meaningful only in that specific environment. If identity files already exist, inspect them before choosing overwrite.
