About this skill

Problem

Long-term equity research often breaks down in two ways: data is scattered, so analysts mix impressions before checking fatal risks; and scoring is too flat to separate durable advantages in moat, business model, management, and growth. This skill turns listed-company value assessment into a repeatable workflow aimed at identifying companies that can be held for many years while avoiding permanent capital loss.

How It Works

  • Mode selection: uses full mode for screening → rating or minesweeping-only mode for risk checks.
  • Unified data collection: gathers fundamentals, financials, dividends, ownership, management, audit governance, industry policy, and public sentiment for screening; full mode adds valuation, ROE, FCF, competitive structure, and moat evidence.
  • Two-stage screening: first checks permanent A-class disqualifiers such as audit red lines, major insider selling, dilutive issuance, frequent business changes, and policy or legal destruction; then evaluates repairable B-class distress, allowing passage only when five waiver conditions are met and capping the rating.
  • Red-flag scan: marks finance, governance, market, patent, and sentiment flags; exceeding the threshold stops the analysis.
  • Multi-dimension scoring: after screening, scores eight weighted dimensions. Moat, business model, management team, and growth potential may exceed the normal 5-point cap to distinguish exceptional companies, while fatal risk acts as a separate gate and is not added to the weighted total.

Boundaries

Use this for structured long-horizon analysis of A-share, HK, or US listed companies, including batch screening comparisons. It depends on public filings, financial statements, announcements, and news. If critical data is missing, it should flag data unavailable and apply a conservative interpretation rather than declaring a pass. It supports research and risk flagging, not real-time trading, compliance due diligence, or audit.

Use Cases

  • Before fund due diligence, run a minesweeping-only screen on one listed company, check A-class disqualifiers, and output a fatal-risk conclusion.
  • While drafting a stock weekly review, use full mode to collect financials, valuation, and moat data, then generate a rating report.
  • When comparing multiple holdings, batch run the screening workflow and output triggered items, red-flag counts, and one-line conclusions for the investment review.
  • If key data is missing, mark it as data unavailable, apply the conservative principle, and request manual verification before a pass.

Best For

  • Buy-side research analyst: needs a structured minesweeping conclusion, red-flag scan, and full rating report before making a holding decision for review.
  • Investment advisor: needs to cite A-class disqualifiers, red-flag counts, and fatal-risk judgments when explaining stock risk to clients for disclosure.
  • Long-term individual investor: needs to batch-screen ten-year holding candidates and compare triggered items, red flags, and conclusions for annual review.
  • Equity research analyst: needs to turn valuation, ROE, and moat facts into a reviewable multi-dimension scoring table for weekly reports.
