Autism Spectrum Disorder Behavior Analysis Tool

Problem

When a child may show signs of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), parents, educators, and professionals often need to review short interaction videos from daily settings. Manual notes can miss key signals or stay inconsistent. This skill addresses that workflow by analyzing child images or videos, identifying ASD-related behavioral tendencies, and producing a structured report with risk notes and intervention references.

How It Works

The skill accepts a local image/video path or a public URL and runs the built-in analysis script. Parameters such as --input, --url, and --analysis-type control the source and scope; supported types include screening, social, behavior, and comprehensive, with comprehensive as the default. Results are organized around dimensions such as eye contact, social smiling, interaction initiation, language expression, repetitive or stereotyped movements, restricted interests, and sensory responsiveness. Historical reports are fetched from the cloud API using python -m scripts.autism_analysis --list and returned as a Markdown table, rather than reconstructed from local memory.

Boundaries

The output is better suited to early screening support, observation review, and preparing materials before referral; it does not replace physician diagnosis or clinical assessment. Input videos should be mp4, avi, or mov and no larger than 10MB. If ASD is clearly suspected, seek a professional medical referral promptly.
