About this skill

Problem

When analyzing charts with Chan Lun, the common failure mode is not a lack of theory but a lack of process: asking for buy/sell points before confirming the trading level, mixing K-line containment, fractals, strokes, segments, and centers, and treating divergence as a vague MACD read. This skill turns Chan Lun analysis into a structured workflow: first classify what the current movement is, then assess its strength, then generate scenario-based responses.

How It Works

  • Level first: establish the operating level such as 1m, 5m, 30m, or 1d, because a buy or sell point has no meaning without a timeframe.
  • Morphology: remove K-line containment, identify top and bottom fractals, draw strokes and segments, and build the movement center around ZD and ZG.
  • Dynamics: compare the entry and exit segments by height, MACD histogram area, and DIF/DEA position to test trend or consolidation divergence.
  • Strategy: recognize first, second, and third buy/sell points, then output fully classified plans such as “if A occurs, do A; if B occurs, exit.”

Boundaries

This is a technical-analysis aid, not an absolute price forecast or stock recommendation. If the user has not defined a level, the skill should ask for one first. If the structure is incomplete, the output should state possibilities rather than confirm entries or exits. It is useful for building a disciplined review framework, but it does not replace risk control, position sizing, or live trading judgment.

Use Cases

  • Review a 30-minute chart to classify the current move as up, down, or consolidation.
  • Compare entry and exit segment heights with MACD histogram area to test for divergence.
  • Identify first, second, and third buy/sell points and draft response plans for each path.
  • After confirming a weekly or daily center, assess the current movement strength.

Best For

  • Quant traders doing Chan Lun reviews who need structured conclusions from levels, strokes, and centers.
  • Engineers building market-analysis assistants in CherryStudio who need a fixed analysis framework.
  • Investors studying the 108 Chan Lun lessons who need buy/sell point definitions applied to charts.
  • Risk-review analysts who need fully classified response plans rather than point forecasts.
