Problem Being Addressed

CAD deepening drawings often miss material notes, external dimensions, node dimensions, or closed dimension chains, and manual review is slow and error-prone. This skill targets single PDF files with a text layer, provides a lightweight review entry point, and creates a basic cutlist when board names, dimensions, and material notes can be extracted.

How It Works

• View segmentation: classifies areas such as elevations, sections, plans, details, and title blocks so rules are applied to the right drawing views.
• Rule checks: covers RULE1 material annotations, RULE2 external plan dimensions, RULE5 wall finish annotations, RULE6 detail dimensions, and RULE8 dimension-chain closure.
• Report output: produces a structured review.json and a browser-readable report.html, including severity, bbox coordinates, and remediation notes.
• Lightweight cutlist generation: parses text-layer board names, sizes, and material shorthand to create a basic cutlist, finish list, and summary with material codes, roughing allowances, edge-banding inference, and standard sheet estimates.

Boundaries and Notes

• The free tier processes one PDF at a time; folder batches, VLM extraction, material roll-ups, and annotated PDFs belong to the professional tier.
• Pure vector or scanned PDFs without selectable text may yield weak or missing results, so manual review or a professional upgrade is required.
• Rule-based findings and text-layer cutlist estimates are assists only; verify all results before production cutting or client delivery.
