About this skill
What It Handles
When engineers, editors, or product reviewers receive a long explanation, article, report, or discussion record, the slow part is often not reading one sentence, but identifying the core claims, events, data points, and conclusions. This skill targets text compression: given verbose input, it reduces length, removes filler, repetition, and unnecessary framing, then outputs the key points as a clean bullet list. It does not expand the source material or replace fact-checking.
How It Works
The core behavior is summarizing compression rather than truncation. It follows the original intent and preserves information-dense items such as viewpoints, events, metrics, and conclusions. At the same time, it removes redundant phrasing, repeated expressions, and setup language. The result is usually a structured project list rather than a long paragraph, making it easier to drop into documentation, review notes, meeting summaries, or knowledge bases. The output is meant to be concise and scannable. Because the skill states that it stays faithful to the source and avoids adding fabricated content, it is less suitable for tasks that require external analysis, new facts, or creative rewriting.
Boundaries
This skill fits meeting notes, long-form reading, report summaries, and material cleanup. If the source contains contractual terms, legal judgments, financial disclosures, or precise technical requirements, manual verification is still required. For complex documents with scattered arguments, define the summarization scope first, then use the skill to compress the content.
Use Cases
- Compress long meeting notes into key decisions, action items, owners, and follow-up items for email sync.
- Extract problems, requests, and key data from lengthy customer feedback into ticket-ready bullets.
- Summarize technical docs into implementation points, interface limits, and migration notes for pre-review.
- Turn long competitor reports into market scale, feature differences, and conclusions for decision docs.
Best For
- Project assistant who turns meeting discussions into decisions and action items.
- Support engineer who extracts issues, requests, and key data from long customer feedback.
- Engineer who compresses interface limits and migration notes before document review.
- Analyst who turns competitor report findings into decision-ready bullets.
