• Dialogue as action: determine whether each line serves character, plot, or tension; if swapping all names for one still reads oddly, the dialogue is producing text instead of shaping people.

It preserves the author’s original story intent and does not design a ‘perfect’ character for the writer. Diagnosis should land in concrete revisions rather than generic advice like ‘add more detail.’ If input lacks character fragments or narrative context, conclusions depend more on the author’s follow-up.
