Film Storyboard Script

The Problem

When planning a short film, course demo, ad, or AI-video script, creators often have many ideas but a weak shot order. Dialogue, visuals, pacing, and emotional beats get mixed together, leaving the final description improvised and vague. Film Storyboard Script turns this into a structured text exercise by using camera language, narrative structure, and blocking as the analytical framework.

How It Works

The skill does not generate images or call external rendering tools. Instead, it asks the LLM to act like a film critic and screenwriter who helps users explore “storyboarding with text”:

• Lock the angle: choose one entry point from history, technique, culture, a person, or a specific subject.
• Build context: explain basic concepts in visual grammar, dramaturgy, and blocking.
• Break down cases: analyze two or three representative works or events, focusing on why a shot works and how the idea can be applied to a script.
• Keep the user involved: after every two or three knowledge points, ask light questions such as notice this frame or what do you think?, avoiding one-way lecturing.
• Close and extend: summarize the discussion and suggest at least two further reading or writing directions.

This is useful for turning a rough idea into a discussable storyboard draft, and for learning audiovisual language.

Boundaries and Cautions

The skill is text-only and is constrained against using external APIs or network plugins. It produces script logic, shot descriptions, and narrative analysis, not actual editing, rendering, or asset creation. Provide the subject, duration, emotional goal, or reference work when possible; otherwise the output may stay conceptual. For production-ready work, the written storyboard should still be handed off to a later pipeline for detailed breakdown.
