What It Solves

Turning a short reflection on a book, film, or documentary into a shareable poster often gets stuck on the background and layout. A random stock image feels cheap, while manual text placement can obscure the visual focus. This skill handles “work + quote + takeaway” check-in posts by calling mew.design image and design APIs: first it creates or refines an emotional background, then it composes the title, quote, takeaway, and optional check-in metadata.

How It Works

• API key handling: reuses a valid key already accepted in the conversation; asks again only when missing, invalid, Inactive API Key, or explicitly replaced.
• Input shaping: collects work type, title, source, one core quote, one short takeaway, tone, and optional date, nickname, or reference image URL; overly long text is condensed into a short title, quote, and takeaway.
• Two-stage generation: stage one uses Mew image-process to generate a background from a reference cover/still or a prompt; stage two uses Mew design-generate to place text in a readable safe area.
• Style control: chooses among minimalist, vintage-film, japanese-salt, editorial-magazine, and collage-art; explicit user style wins, otherwise style is auto-matched from work type, mood, and reference image.

Boundaries And Caveats

The background is treated as atmosphere, not a full-page canvas for dense text; if the center is too busy, the workflow retries once. Poster readability is prioritized over decorative metadata. Local files, screenshots, and chat attachments are not treated as directly usable API assets because downstream APIs need server-accessible URLs; a third-party upload fallback requires explicit consent and a privacy warning. Dates default to the current local date or simple labels like “Today’s watch”, not invented timestamps.
