About this skill

Problem

When PR, emergency, or brand teams investigate a public-opinion incident, the bottleneck is often not data access but a stable analytical structure: Is the event in the occurrence phase or peak phase? Which signals show amplification? Did responses work? Is the postmortem more than a timeline?

How It Works

sentiment-analyzer-pro applies Duncan's five-stage framework and emits a Markdown report through fixed steps:
- Event triage: distinguish major incidents, ordinary disputes, and minor chatter to avoid over-response.
- Source coverage: require at least three independent channels such as mainstream media, social platforms, and vertical communities.
- Phase mapping: infer occurrence, escalation, peak, easing, and cooldown from index, trending-rank, and media follow-up signals.
- Three-axis check: review breadth, precision, and depth, requiring source and timestamp for data points.
- Benchmarking: compare similar incidents, stakeholder responses, and cross-industry handling experience.
- Insight generation: add an independent judgment for each stage and produce a standardized report.

Limits

It is a methodology framework tool, not a real-time monitoring engine. Concrete incident analysis requires live data such as Weibo index, trending rank, and media coverage; it should not replace second-level warning from a professional public-opinion system or infer conclusions without event context. Threshold examples are year-stamped and need re-evaluation across years.

Use Cases

  • Brand teams use the five-stage framework to map discussion spread and evaluate response effectiveness after a campaign dispute.
  • Emergency managers use incident signals to locate crisis phases and generate a standardized postmortem report.
  • PR specialists use case examples to train teams on breadth-precision-depth checks and benchmarking methods.
  • Policy researchers compare multi-platform sources and extract phase-level judgments from public discussions.

Best For

  • PR teams: review brand crises, evaluate response timing and wording, and produce training-ready reports.
  • Emergency management teams: determine response levels, map incident phases, and document handling recommendations.
  • Brand operations staff: analyze complaint or campaign disputes, compare platform sources, and identify amplification nodes.
  • Policy researchers: track policy discussions and benchmark similar incidents or cross-industry responses.
