About this skill

The problem

Insurance product comparison often stalls because quotes arrive in different formats and coverage dimensions do not line up. Medical policies require checking underwriting, waiting periods, renewal stability, and special drug coverage. Critical illness policies require comparing serious, intermediate, and mild illness payouts, as well as extra benefits before age 60. Employer liability and accident plans require attention to occupation class, deductibles, and coverage limits. Comparing product names or brands alone is not enough to judge which option fits the customer’s budget, coverage gap, and renewal stability.

How the skill works

The skill works with two data sources:
- Built-in product data: 19 structured products are included, covering medical insurance, critical illness insurance, employer liability, life/savings, and accident insurance. You can trigger it with requests such as “compare A and B” or “list products in a category.”
- User-pasted quotes: paste quotes from multiple insurers, and the skill first checks whether the proposals cover the same subject, then aligns key fields such as coverage amount, premium, waiting period, renewal, occupation class, and benefit details to produce a ranked recommendation.
The output favors consistent tabular dimensions, reducing the risk of burying important differences in long paragraphs. Where relevant, it uses generic phrasing such as “suitable for X-type customers” instead of requiring personal details like name, age, or medical history.

Boundaries

It is best used for initial shortlisting, side-by-side comparison, and clarifying questions, not for underwriting, formal policy interpretation, or final purchase decisions. If a pasted quote lacks coverage amount, premium, benefit details, or occupation information, the analysis becomes less precise. Built-in product data also changes with annual terms, so the latest insurer clauses and formal underwriting should be checked before purchase.

Use Cases

  • Compare medical quotes by waiting period, renewal, and drug list.
  • Compare employer liability quotes for class 6 occupation limits.
  • Compare a current Ping An plan against alternatives by benefit cost.
  • Find medical options for a diabetic elder by underwriting limits.

  • Medical insurance agents comparing underwriting, waiting period, and renewal.
  • Brokers aligning employer liability and accident quotes by occupation class.
  • Financial advisors comparing critical illness benefits and premium structure.
  • Insurance operations answering age, occupation, and medical history fit.
