About this skill

Problem

Bid decisions for construction, municipal, renovation, landscaping, and road projects often lack verifiable context: whether the budget is reasonable, which contractors the buyer has historically favored, what similar projects recently awarded, and which firms may appear at bid opening. This skill turns a tender notice into decision support based on historical bidding records rather than subjective advice alone.

How It Works

The workflow centers on whether to bid, how to price, and who will compete:
- Parse the tender: extract budget, scope, qualification requirements, and deadline, using get_bid_detail or search_bids when needed.
- Profile the buyer: review past procurement patterns, budget levels, and preferred suppliers, noting long-term relationships or directional signals.
- Predict competition: identify likely bidders, their award history, and relationships with the buyer or rivals.
- Benchmark price: use distributions for similar projects and historical unit prices to propose a pricing band.
- Fit your position: assess relative competitiveness with the user’s supplied performance records or company context.

Outputs should be traceable: amounts, company names, and counts come from returned data. Missing information is marked as a data gap instead of being invented. The conclusion comes first, with citations and disclaimers included.

Boundaries

It suits tender-decision support when a bid notice or project document is available. It is not intended for generic tender, company, or supplier lookup, nor for preparing bid documents. Full analysis consumes API credits, so the expected budget should be confirmed first. For real enterprises and government agencies, reports describe publicly observable signals only and avoid accusatory claims.

Use Cases

  • For a road tender, decide whether to bid and price it.
  • Before renovation bid, check buyer's contractor history.
  • Benchmark similar highway awards to set a bid price.
  • Use public tender data to judge a landscaping bid.

Best For

  • Construction bid leads who need a quick go/no-go decision from a tender notice.
  • Municipal commercial managers who need price bands from similar awarded projects.
  • Renovation or landscaping owners who need buyer and competitor relationship signals.
  • Infrastructure bid specialists who need traceable tender decision reports.
