About this skill

The Problem

When doing short-video topic selection, competitor tracking, or sentiment monitoring, manually browsing Douyin does not produce stable, comparable data. High-engagement video patterns, creator output, comment direction, and hot-list changes are scattered across pages. Douyin Assistant turns public content into structured analysis input, useful for judging topics and trends before copy planning or marketing reports.

How It Works

It reads public Douyin data through several capabilities:
- Keyword search: find videos by keyword and sort by likes or latest for viral topic discovery;
- Creator post collection: batch-fetch a creator’s public posts for content-strategy comparison;
- Comment analysis: read video comments to observe sentiment direction;
- Hot-list tracking: fetch real-time hot lists to assess trend windows;
- JSON export: write results to the logs directory for secondary filtering, comparison, and reporting.

Boundaries

It only reads public content, not private or hidden data; GUAIKEI_API_TOKEN must be configured before use, and data should remain for personal or internal team analysis rather than unauthorized redistribution. Search results depend on keywords and time ranges, so empty results may need broader keywords or a wider time filter.

Use Cases

  • Content planners use keyword search and like-based sorting before topic meetings to identify high-engagement video ideas.
  • Operations teams monitor competitor accounts by batch-fetching public posts and exporting JSON for frequency and content-type comparison.
  • Sentiment analysts review comments on a controversial video to summarize positive, negative, and key user concerns.
  • Marketing teams read real-time Douyin hot lists to decide which trending topics can be pursued today.

Best For

  • Short-video content planners: produce weekly, verifiable topic ideas and find high-engagement reference videos.
  • Brand operations: continuously track competitor accounts’ public posting strategies and build comparison tables.
  • Sentiment analysts: break popular video comment directions into reportable themes and sentiment trends.
  • Marketing leads: export public Douyin videos, comments, and hot-list data for monthly campaign reviews.
