Problem

Chinese web-novel drafting often fails on three practical issues: chapter word counts drift, repeated phrasing appears across chapters, and the prose still reads AI-like. Short stories are also easy to format incorrectly with chapter headings, dividers, and the wrong character count. Publishing to Fanqie can stall on title length, chapter titles, categories, and duplicate detection.

How It Works

Story Writer Pro turns writing, review, and publishing into an executable workflow:
- Long-form writing follows a 12-step process aligned to worldbuilding, character sheets, beat tables, and chapter text.
- Quality gates run word-count check → cross-chapter duplicate scan → AI-flavor scan, using scripts such as check_chapter_wordcount.py, cross-chapter-scan.py, and ai-flavor-scan-v2.py.
- Short-story delivery supports either a project-based path or a direct-dialogue path, keeping the body as one continuous piece and ending with 【全文完】 instead of chapter headings or dividers.
- Fanqie publishing handles title constraints, categories, duplicate checks, and backend publishing steps, with an automated publishing path when available.

Boundaries

It is focused on Chinese long-form web novels and Fanqie workflows, not general publishing or arbitrary platforms. The skill enforces write boundaries: when the user says record only or do not modify yet, it outputs analysis only. Deletion, archiving, and bulk renaming require confirmation. Word-count reporting must distinguish pure Chinese characters, Fanqie characters, and file characters, rather than mixing punctuation, line breaks, and headings into the body count.
