About this skill

Problem to Solve

Weibo competitor research is often messy: results are scattered, angles are mixed, and claims are hard to trace. This skill helps brands, creators, and content teams inspect relevant titles, accounts, content IDs, engagement signals, and publish times around a keyword or topic.

How It Works

  • Provide a keyword or content direction, and start with one page to validate scope.
  • Use weibo search or the weibo_search_posts MCP tool to retrieve samples.
  • Control volume with --max-items and expand with --pages; merged results appear in data.items.
  • Keep useful traceable fields such as title, author, post_id, link, interaction metrics, and publish time.
  • Treat next_page_token as opaque; pass it back unchanged. An empty page does not prove that no further results exist.
  • Separate observed evidence from interpretation, then narrow to 1-3 strongest samples for follow-up.

Boundaries and Notes

This is a read-only workflow. It does not log in, post, like, comment, modify accounts, or read local browser data. Calls depend on SOCIALDATAX_API_KEY; if the API returns insufficient balance, use the provided recharge link and rerun the same command. Dependency, network, or Node.js issues are local runtime problems, not a reason to replace SocialDataX results with public web search.

Use Cases

  • Brand operators inspect competitor Weibo titles, accounts, and content IDs around a product launch keyword.
  • Content planners compare topic angles from creators in the same niche and shortlist 1-3 follow-up samples.
  • Analysts retain post IDs, engagement metrics, and publish times while reviewing campaign performance.
  • Creators observe competitor accounts to detect recurring audiences, scenarios, or selling points.

Best For

  • Brand social content operators comparing competitor Weibo angles and account signals.
  • Editorial planners retrieving traceable Weibo samples by keyword.
  • Brand analysts keeping post IDs, engagement metrics, and publish times.
  • Creators tracking competitor titles, authors, and follow-up angles.
