About this skill
Problem: turn vague manager dynamics into a reusable model
Workplace judgment is hard when a manager's behavior seems inconsistent: one day they push progress in group chat, another day they stress risk in review, and in reporting they care only about conclusions. create-leader is not a decision engine. It helps you organize observations about a leader into a local, editable profile, reducing repeated guesswork.
How it works
- Three output tracks: generates
leadership.md,upward.md, andreplacement.mdfor leadership simulation, upward management, and replacement-path planning. - Light input: only an alias is required; you can optionally add one-line context about role, level, style tags, and reporting relationship.
- Material sources: supports Feishu group-chat or private-chat text, manual descriptions, or a mix; it can also generate from minimal information.
- Analysis focus: extracts decision patterns, reporting preferences, capability gaps, weaknesses, and promotion path based on the provided prompts such as
prompts/leadership_analyzer.md,prompts/upward_analyzer.md, andprompts/replacement_analyzer.md. - Versioned maintenance: output is stored under
leaders/{slug}/, with append, correction,/leader-rollback, and/delete-leaderworkflows for iteration.
Boundaries and notes
The output is decision support, not a final basis for performance, promotion, or HR decisions. Use only data you are authorized to access, keep Feishu/DingTalk credentials secure, and clean up local files under ~/.create-leader/ when no longer needed. Avoid spreading unverified negative claims.
Use Cases
- Before Monday's proposal review with your director, use the upward-management profile to check their reporting preferences and minefields, then rewrite the deck accordingly.
- Feed three months of Feishu group-chat logs into the collection flow to extract the leader's decision patterns and hiring biases, then generate a leadership-simulation profile.
- With a promotion window approaching, compare your skill set against the replacement-path profile, list the capability gaps and priority projects, and draft your performance-review narrative.
- When your new manager's communication style is unclear, run typical conflict scenarios through the leadership simulator to predict their likely reactions before choosing your communication approach.
Best For
- Tech leads who give quarterly reviews to directors or VPs and keep getting pushed on data sourcing and tech-stack rationale
- Newly promoted team leads who need to manage a new direct boss and map a two-year promotion path
- Product managers or ops folks who have Feishu group-chat logs and weekly reports but want to turn scattered leader feedback into a reusable decision model
- Job candidates preparing for interviews who want to deconstruct the target role's capability model and promotion logic using replacement-path thinking
