About this skill

Problem Solved

Long-form web novel writing often breaks down between setup, outline, chapter draft, revision, and audit. AI drafts can also retain formulaic patterns. This skill routes the work into separate modules so rules are not improvised for a single chapter.

How It Works

  • Startup routing: intent such as outline, volume outline, fine outline, continue writing, check, or de-AI enters the matching module.
  • Serial stage writing: each stage is one story segment from the volume outline; the main agent advances while writer and audit subagents follow writer-rules.md and audit-rules.md.
  • Quality checks: distinguishes prose-only checks from fine-outline-plus-prose checks, covering contradictions, character consistency, timeline, missed foreshadowing, and cross-volume comparison.
  • Style revision: uses deai-rules.md to reduce mechanical AI tone from an editor perspective.

Boundaries

Best for long novels with a clear chapter plan or continuous drafting. It is not needed for one-off short copy. Before checking, the skill may ask which reference material should be used.

Use Cases

  • Turn an initial idea into premise, outline, volume outline, and fine outline for a long web novel.
  • Start batch chapter drafting from an existing fine outline, then decide whether to proceed after audit.
  • Audit prose or fine-outline-plus-prose for contradictions, character drift, and missed foreshadowing.
  • Rewrite existing drafts from an editor perspective to remove mechanical phrasing while preserving story and pacing.

Best For

  • Web novel writers who need to move a premise into fine outlines and chapter drafts
  • Content editors who need consistent outlines, prose rules, formatting, and audit standards
  • AI-assisted writers who want to reduce mechanical tone and cross-chapter contradictions
  • Long-form project maintainers who need cross-volume checks for foreshadowing, timeline, and character consistency
