About this skill
Problem
Douyin trends shift quickly, and teams need to identify usable topics fast. Manually tracking live rankings, historical changes, and topic trends is tedious; without a consistent view, creators and operators react later than they should.
How It Works
- Pulls Douyin hot-list JSON through the
Redfox Hub API, refreshed hourly. - Supports natural-language queries such as
today's hot list, last 7 days, and specific dates; defaults to TOP 20, then loads TOP 50. - Compares two time points to highlight new entries, dropped entries, and heat changes.
- Adds creator-focused analysis: topic opportunities, title patterns, trend forecasts, and action suggestions.
- Generates an HTML report and can export PDF, with clickable topic links.
- Supports hourly or daily subscription pushes to reduce repeated manual checks.
Boundaries
- Requires
REDFOX_API_KEY; it reads environment variables first, with Shell config as fallback. - Historical data covers up to the last 30 days; live data depends on API availability and is not locally cached.
- Outputs are for content selection, operations analysis, and reporting; they do not replace official platform data or compliance review.
Use Cases
- A short-video editor checks the daily TOP 50 list to filter usable topics and note title patterns.
- An MCN operator compares yesterday and today's rankings to identify new and dropped topics for creator meetings.
- A brand marketer searches 30-day historical trends for relevant topics and assembles an HTML report for proposals.
- A junior content operator reviews historical hot lists and insights to deconstruct title formulas and practice transfers.
Best For
- Short-video creators: need quick daily topic selection and title formulas for their niche.
- MCN operators: need to track trend shifts and guide creator teams with data-backed topics.
- Brand marketers: need to spot usable trends and produce reports for campaign planning.
- Content operations learners: need to study viral title patterns and emotional triggers.
