About this skill
Problems in Live Commerce Script Creation
Livestream operators, directors, and hosts face recurring challenges: reference scripts that don't adapt to their product category, feature lists that are lengthy yet lack conversion logic, urgency tactics limited to shouting "buy now" without scientific backing, and compliance violations discovered only after the broadcast leads to penalties. These issues stem from the absence of a structured methodology that transforms scattered emotional phrases—sourced from competitor analysis, personal experience, and platform jargon—into executable, auditable, and reusable scripts.
How This Skill Works
The skill builds the script framework based on the industry-consensus three-phase rhythm × six-stage customer journey. The three phases (Opening → Selling Periods [Initial/Peak/End] → Closing) define the macro pacing of the entire stream, while the six stages (Attract → Retain → Lock/Evidence → Persuase → Urge → Force Close → Order) define the micro conversion path for each product. These two layers interlock: the master script schedules multiple six-stage journeys, with traffic-driving products using abbreviated paths and hero products running full journeys.
Each product pitch follows a seven-step structure: Hook/Pain Point → Product Introduction → Selling Points (FABE: Feature-Advantage-Benefit-Evidence) → Trust Endorsement → Price Anchor → Time-Limited Urgency → FAQ. This ensures every pitch is logically complete rather than a random collection of phrases.
Conversion is driven by three urgency types × psychological levers:
- Price-based: Anchor with original price, contrast with discount
- Stock-based: Scarcity + real-time inventory updates
- Pain-based: Scenario-based "solves X problem, delivers Y result"
These types are combined to activate four psychological levers: loss aversion, price anchoring, scarcity effect, and foot-in-the-door effect.
Finally, compliance is front-loaded to catch prohibited phrases and non-compliant stock-holding before the script is finalized. The deliverables include four core pieces:
1. Master Pacing Script
2. Product Pitch Table
3. Phrase Library (12 categories, complete sentences ready for on-air use)
4. Compliance Checklist
In specific scenarios (debut broadcast, brand self-broadcast requiring unified scripts, high-price/sensitive-benefit products), an optional product verbatim script is generated.
Scope and Limitations
- This skill focuses on e-commerce live streaming script creation; short video scripts, post-stream analysis, knowledge-based streams, and daily brand self-broadcasts are outside scope
- Required inputs include category/theme, streaming goal, duration, and hero product list (name, original price, live price, key features, inventory); missing fields trigger follow-up questions
- Verbatim scripts are not generated by default—only when triggered by specific scenarios; urgency numbers use
[X]placeholders requiring real-time updates - The phrase library provides ready-to-read sentences, but countdown commands like "321, link is up" must be adjusted with real-time inventory
- Competitor scripts cannot be copied directly across categories; pitches must be rewritten based on your own products, features, and audience
Use Cases
- Brand launches a new beauty product on Douyin; need to design a full 4-hour streaming script with pacing, hero product pitches, and compliance checklist from scratch
- Pre-double-eleven; existing script has low conversion, need to restructure product pitches using six-stage customer journey and three urgency types
- New host doing debut stream and feeling nervous; needs a ready-to-read phrase library including opening, urgency commands, and stock countdown cues as a safety net
- Brand self-broadcast team with multiple rotating hosts; need unified verbatim scripts for high-price products to prevent compliance violations on efficacy claims
Best For
- Livestream operations or directors who design full-stream pacing and per-product conversion paths
- Livestream hosts, especially debut presenters or those selling high-price items needing verbatim script safety nets
- E-commerce team leads who need unified phrase libraries and compliance checklists to reduce violation risks
- Livestream MCN agencies seeking standardized methodology to improve script quality across their roster of hosts
