About this skill

Problem

Event materials often mix agendas, speeches, notices, and marketing copy. Turning them into a news release can introduce publisher-role errors, incorrect leadership ordering, or informal job titles. event-news targets releases where the publisher must be calibrated: government or industry association organizer, corporate organizer, or corporate participant.

How It Works

The skill first asks who is issuing the release. If the role is unclear, it requests confirmation instead of assuming. It then extracts information by source priority: formal notices define event name, date, venue, and organizational structure; agendas define key segments; speeches provide leadership points and notable quotes; promotional materials add background and outcomes. The extracted data is grouped into basic information, organization, core content, and attendees, then mapped to a four- or six-paragraph structure. Formal meetings, forums, signings, and trainings lean toward four paragraphs; community activities, competitions, and public-interest events lean toward six.

Constraints

  • Speaker order follows institutional hierarchy: government or association leaders first, then corporate speakers as response or showcase.
  • Titles avoid informal forms such as X Zong or leaders; use name, title, and organization.
  • Quotation marks are used for event names, proper concepts, and emphasis; em dashes are rendered as ——, not --.
  • The draft prioritizes the 5W lede, key segments, and outcomes, while downplaying informal or minor items.

Use Cases

  • Draft government forum release from agendas and speeches.
  • Draft a company award release thanking organizers.
  • Write host launch release from agenda and remarks.
  • Draft community service release with background and impact.

Best For

  • Government or association communications editors drafting official event releases from mixed materials.
  • Corporate brand or marketing staff writing launch and award releases from the right issuer perspective.
  • Government agency or state-owned enterprise general affairs staff converting speeches and agendas into formal reports.
  • Event operations staff turning notices, remarks, and outcome materials into a ready release.
