Problem

Many visual tasks stall when a topic exists but aesthetic judgment does not: an input may be a film, a game, or a vague keyword, and the output can drift into templated posters, cartoonish graphics, or over-explained copy. canvas-design addresses extracting an actionable design philosophy from minimal cues, then translating that philosophy into a single-page canvas piece.

How It Works

The skill works in two steps: first it writes a .md design philosophy, then it produces a .pdf or .png visual work. Key moves include:
- Naming the movement: a one- or two-word aesthetic frame, such as “Geometric Silence” or “Color Language.”
- Stating the philosophy: 4-6 concise paragraphs across space, form, color, composition, and visual hierarchy, without repetition.
- Deriving subtle references: weaving conceptual cues into form, color, and composition rather than literal illustration.
- Canvas production: creating a single-page, design-first image with restrained typography, clear margins, no overlap, and intentional typography.

Boundaries

It fits concept posters, visual manifestos, magazine-style single pages, and design research sheets. It is not a substitute for complete UI design, brand systems, or interactive prototypes; if extra pages are needed, each page should behave like a distinct chapter rather than a repeated layout.
