Problem

When designing feeding equipment, optical sorters, mounting plates, or continuing a CAD plant layout, natural-language requests often miss process topology, interface relationships, and manufacturing constraints. Asking a model to “draw a 3D model” can produce something that looks plausible but lacks dimensions, material, assembly relationships, drawings, or BOM.

How It Works

The skill selects a workflow based on the maturity of the request:
- Concept communication: generates STEP, GLB, and isometric/front/right/top PNGs, explicitly labeled as a concept model.
- Manufacturable delivery: builds an exact designSpec and outputs parts, assemblies, drawings, PDF, BOM, and neutral formats.
- CAD layout continuation: reads factoryLayout.concept3dHandoff, preserving equipment, aisles, logistics, and the asset registry.

It internally handles requirement decomposition, module selection, assembly, interface closure, and motion envelope checks without asking users to write JSON, choose modes, or maintain a second layout asset set. Before first Runtime use, it shows version, size, and SHA-256, then installs only after consent.

Boundaries

Portable output does not support native feature trees, mates, drawings, BOM, or motion studies; manufacturing work must use precise engineering design. Failure receipts are used only to identify fields, and uncertain or potentially billed requests are not automatically retried.
