How It Works

In practice, it works best when the input includes the research question, target population, core variables, and existing hypotheses. It then compares candidate theories by explanatory scope and fit. The v4 materials also include three supporting files: prompt_tests.md for regression-style test cases, benchmark_cases.json for benchmark answer sets, and theory_selection_playbook.md for a theory-selection playbook. This makes the workflow more like a repeatable reasoning process than a single free-form response.
