This skill targets a specific content workflow: YouTube interviews, podcasts, and long talks often contain strong material, but repurposing them for Chinese audiences still requires selecting moments, parsing English subtitles, translating into Simplified Chinese, burning captions, and writing short-video packaging copy. It turns that workflow into a reviewable pipeline instead of relying on a one-shot rewrite.

How It Works and Where It Fits

• Candidate selection: It parses the English SRT file, then selects candidate segments based on information density, opinion strength, counterintuitive value, and quotability, rather than cutting isolated sentences.
• Reviewable output: Each candidate includes exact start and end times, duration, a short title, and a two-sentence summary, making it easier to decide which clips to export.
• Chinese subtitle pipeline: For each chosen window, it extracts a local subtitle segment, translates it into Simplified Chinese, repairs YouTube rolling-subtitle overlaps with fix_srt.py, and burns the captions into the clip.
• Short-video packaging: It generates a concise title and a description under 140 Chinese characters, saving the copy to a text file for later distribution.

It fits teams converting English interview material into Chinese short-form video. It is less suitable when the source lacks English subtitles, ffmpeg is unavailable, download cookies are expired, or transcript quality is poor. The final output includes the source asset folder, the candidate clip list, the packaging text file, and the path for each exported clip.
