What It Solves

Many comic projects stall because the brief stays abstract: scripts remain vague summaries, storyboards are not actionable, character descriptions are too thin, dialogue does not fit speech bubbles, four-panel comics lack a punchline, and layout notes are not useful for an artist. This skill turns a one-line comic idea into executable text deliverables, including comic scripts, storyboards, four-panel layouts, character design, dialogue, page layout, and beginner tutorials. It does not generate images directly; instead, it clarifies what to draw, how to draw it, and how the reader should move through the page.

How It Works

The skill first classifies the task: full script, storyboard, four-panel comic, character design, dialogue, layout, tutorial, or a combination. When the user provides enough context, it proceeds directly; when the request is too broad, it asks only 1-3 key questions, such as genre, protagonist, tone, length, and intended audience, avoiding a long form.

Its outputs are structured before decorative writing. It keeps the story core, characters, visuals, pacing, and reading order explicit. For storyboards, it specifies panel number, visual content, shot size, composition focus, action and expression, dialogue or narration, reading order, and layout notes. For four-panel comics, it follows the setup-development-turn-closing rhythm and checks whether the final panel has a clear landing point. For characters, it provides age, personality, appearance keywords, relationships, and drawing-ready descriptions. For layout, it explains page ratio, panel size, reading direction, speech bubble placement, eye guidance, and pacing. This is useful when the goal is to hand a comic concept to an illustrator, storyboard artist, editor, or later image-generation workflow.
