About this skill

What it solves

Agents are often asked for “what’s new in AI today,” but model memory can be stale or hallucinated, and bare answers may lack sources. aihot routes those queries to the public endpoints of aihot.virxact.com, letting agents retrieve daily selected items, daily reports, category feeds, and keyword results in natural language.

How it works

The skill chooses a route from the user's phrasing: broad questions default to mode=selected with a since window; “daily report” triggers daily; explicit “all/full” uses mode=all. It supports category, take, cursor, and q, then organizes results across model releases, product updates, industry news, papers, and tips. User-facing output groups items, keeps titles, sources, human-readable timestamps, summaries, and URLs, while hiding endpoint paths, rate limits, and cursor internals.

Boundaries and notes

since covers only the last 7 days; older history requires dated daily archives. take is capped at 100, and larger sets need cursor pagination. API calls require a browser-like User-Agent, and serial requests are safer. It is well suited to recent AI industry facts, but not a complete historical archive or a substitute for verifying specific claims.

Use Cases

  • Before standup, fetch AI model and product releases from the last 24 hours with linked summaries.
  • When asked what’s new in AI today, return curated selected items with readable sources instead of model memory.
  • Search server-side for a company or tech keyword and keep source URLs in the output.
  • Compose a daily digest ordered by models, products, industry, papers, and tips.

Best For

  • Product manager writing an AI weekly, needing current model, product, and industry updates.
  • Tech editor organizing AI papers, launches, and tips while preserving sources.
  • Agent engineer routing natural-language questions to public APIs and producing readable output.
  • AI investment analyst tracking companies, models, and industry news by keyword.
