Earthquake, tsunami, and weather-disaster alerts are scattered across JMA, CENC, EMSC, USGS, and NOAA. Tracking every region and hazard type you care about means bouncing between websites and apps. dsh-quake-alert consolidates all of these into a single DSH page: real-time WebSocket feeds from P2PQuake (Japan, sub-second) and EMSC (global) arrive as soon as they are issued, while JMA, USGS, and NOAA polled sources fill in the gaps. Earthquake reports, Early Warnings, tsunami forecasts, Japanese weather alerts, mainland-China earthquake early warnings, and Chinese heavy-rain and geological-disaster signals are all parsed, matched against your watch regions and thresholds, and delivered with a distinct synthesized tone, an in-page toast, and a system notification.

Watch granularity is fine-grained: Japanese prefectures can be narrowed to any of 1,917 municipalities; mainland China matches by province and prefecture-level city; global watch points use a coordinate plus a radius with semantic steps (roughly 30 / 100 / 300 km) or an exact kilometre value. Smart three-layer de-duplication ensures multiple releases of the same quake trigger only one alert, re-alerting only on intensity upgrade. A descending-tone follow-up tells you when an EEW is cancelled or a tsunami forecast is cleared. With several DSH tabs open, only one plays the tone. Quiet hours suppress non-critical alerts during a daily window while still recording them in history. Configuration persists in settings.yaml so it survives browser and machine changes. A sandbox mode replays 2023 historical data at roughly one message per 30 seconds, letting you tune thresholds and watch points before going live.
