The plugin is purpose-built for DeepDeck, relying on its App runtime for the sidebar launcher, secondary Electron window, and standardized conversation sessions.

At its core, the plugin handles forum discovery, filtering, topic lists, paginated post reading, and full rendering of icons, avatars, and images. Authentication is flexible and optional—QR scan-to-authorize, account/password, or manual token entry—so you can browse public forums as a guest and only connect an account when personal actions like check-in, favorites, direct messages, voting, or publishing are needed. The extended feature set mirrors the NGA mobile app: typed notifications, short-message conversations with paging, forum and topic favorites, hot topics with day/week/month ranges, user profiles with follow/unfollow, per-user post search, post voting, and reply-draft fetching. All of these are also exposed as 14 agent tools for autonomous AI interaction.

On the security side, the plugin stores only the NGA uid and access token in the local Harness credential file; account passwords are never persisted. QR images are generated locally via the Node qrcode package, so no third-party service ever sees sign-in data. Credential writes are handled by the credentials-local service, which guarantees atomic writes, cross-process locking, and private file permissions.
