The data layer is engineered for resilience: a concurrency gate with a 30-second watchdog prevents pipeline stalls, anonymous cookies are re-seeded automatically when revoked, rate-limit responses trigger exponential backoff, and all polling pauses when the tab is hidden then resumes instantly on return. Intraday refresh runs at 20 seconds and slows to 3 minutes after close.
