Managing dsh plugins from the CLI is straightforward, but many developers would rather browse the community store and trigger installs directly from a browser without turning their machine into a publicly reachable server. dsh-link-plugin fills that gap: the local dsh instance initiates an outbound WebSocket connection to the dsh community site, so no inbound ports need to be opened, yet every install action still runs on your own machine.

Once paired, the web console shows your device status and installed plugin list in real time. From any plugin detail page you can fire a one-click remote install, pick the target device, and watch progress live. While online the plugin also caches the store registry, so even after a network drop you can still browse available entries in the dsh Web UI and plan the next install without being completely disconnected.

Security is handled end to end: install sources must match the approved store-registry whitelist and are re-validated locally before execution; path-traversal patterns and shell-injection characters are rejected outright. Device tokens are stored server-side only as SHA-256 hashes, and the entire channel rides over TLS. It is a good fit for developers who want browser-based, centralized management of their local dsh plugins without compromising on safety.
