About this plugin
You are chatting through the official DeepSeek API all day, curious about your remaining balance and how much this conversation actually costs, but you do not want to spin up a full-blown analytics dashboard. dsh-usage-meter solves exactly that: it pins your account balance and the current session spend (CNY, two decimals) to the top-right corner of the interface, with a simple hover to reveal the breakdown. When the API is not the official one, the key is missing, or the query fails, the balance indicator hides itself so it never gets in the way.
The standout feature is peak/off-peak pricing. Toggle it on in the settings page and every individual request is priced by the time window in which it actually occurred. Even when a single conversation straddles both the peak and off-peak windows, the total stays accurate instead of being skewed by applying one flat rate. Models that do not match the price table show token counts only, with no estimated amount, to avoid misleading figures. All UI copy follows the DSH language setting (Chinese / English) and falls back to the browser language when unset.
Keep in mind that the plugin supports the DeepSeek official API only, and the usage figures are local estimates derived from the DSH session event log; they are for reference and the DeepSeek Open Platform remains the authoritative source for billing. If your goal is simply to glance at balance and spend during everyday conversations without a heavy data dashboard, this is the lightest and most on-point tool for the job.

Best For
