About this plugin

Working with the DeepSeek API day in and day out, you know the moment an exhausted balance kills your pipeline in the middle of a build. Checking it always means opening platform.deepseek.com, logging in, and hunting for the number—small task, big context switch. dsh-deepseek-balance pins that number to the bottom of the Harness sidebar: total available, top-up credit, and gifted balance, all at a glance, in CNY or USD, without leaving your workspace.

Three things make the experience tick. The card auto-refreshes every 60 seconds with a green/yellow/red status dot and an "updated at HH:MM:SS" timestamp, so you can gauge balance health at a glance. A single "Top-up ↗" button opens the official DeepSeek charging page in a new tab, alongside an API Key creation shortcut. API Key management lets you enter, replace, or clear the key inline; the UI only ever shows a masked value, and the credential lives solely in the local process—never written to disk, never sent anywhere but the official balance endpoint.

Built for developers and team leads who rely on the DeepSeek API as a daily driver and want to stay on top of account status without breaking flow. The plugin uses a static dual-face architecture with zero build steps, adapts to light and dark themes, and collapses to a compact balance icon when the sidebar is hidden—quiet, unobtrusive, and always one glance away.

Use Cases

  • Glance at the sidebar mid-session to confirm balance is sufficient without opening a new tab
  • Quickly check remaining quota before assigning tasks on a shared DeepSeek account
  • Balance running low? One click opens the official top-up page so the next request is never blocked

Best For

  • Solo developers who rely on the DeepSeek API as a daily driver
  • Team leads managing shared DeepSeek accounts
  • Engineers who want at-a-glance balance awareness without breaking focus
