When the agent enters a deep thinking phase, the chat screen falls into an unsettling silence. You cannot tell whether it is stuck, still reasoning, or about to deliver its answer. dsh-gap-feed is built for exactly this wait: once the agent thinks past a configurable threshold, the plugin gently appends a card into the conversation stream carrying today's hot news, this week's top GitHub repositories, or a due reminder you set earlier in chat.

The design philosophy is low-frequency and never intrusive. Built-in cooldown, per-hour caps, and a title blacklist keep cards rare rather than spammy. Three sources -- Toutiao, GitHub trending, and Bilibili hot ranking -- are fetched in parallel; if one fails it degrades silently without affecting the others. Simply say "remind me to have a meeting at 18:00" in conversation and the agent saves it; due reminders are prioritized over news on the next injection. All settings render as a form on the dsh settings page, take effect immediately, and survive restarts.

It suits developers and researchers who work with dsh agents and regularly face long reasoning waits. It changes no workflow, adds no extra steps, and simply hands you a light card when a moment of information would fill the gap.
