Preface¶
The hardest part of writing long-form web novels isn’t “writing a single chapter,” but maintaining consistency in settings, keeping the pacing tight, and matching the writing style during serialization. Many people use general dialogue models to generate chapters directly, which often leads to drift in outlines and character arcs, leaving manual editing as the only option. This article introduces the community Skill “Thriller Generator” (爽文生成器) on SkillHub. It integrates outline and character setting, chapter-by-chapter continuation, style unification, and polishing/editing into a single SKILL.md workflow, callable on-demand within Agents that support Skills.
What is this¶
“Thriller Generator” is a writing assistant Skill designed for web novels and “satisfying” fiction scenarios. Its coordinate is @user_db490f21/shuangwenshengchengqi, with the current version 1.0.5, origin community, and category content-creation. It is published by SkillHub user user_db490f21; the SkillHub page lists the author as “Bruce Author.”
It solves the problem of: when writing novels, continuing chapters, defining characters, generating outlines, or revising web fiction, allowing the Agent to execute tasks according to the conventions within the Skill, rather than describing requirements from scratch every time. The official description states it supports common genres such as Xuanhuan (fantasy), urban, system, time-travel, and rebirth. The tag requires_api_key=false indicates that no additional API Key configuration is needed.
Core Features¶
The following capabilities are derived from the descriptions in SkillHub and official API entries. For implementation details not explicitly expanded here, refer to the installed SKILL.md.
- Outline & Character Settings: Generates story outlines and character profiles based on genre and direction, serving as constraints for subsequent chapters.
- Chapter-by-Chapter Continuation: Continues writing chapters based on existing settings or previous text, mitigating the issue of “disconnected narratives.”
- Style Unification: Emphasizes consistency with existing text styles during continuation and editing (specific rules are defined by the Skill documentation).
- Polishing & Editing: Modifies and polishes existing web fiction paragraphs to adapt to the pacing and expression habits of the genre.
Applicable Trigger Scenarios (Official Description): Use this Skill when the user needs to write novels, continue chapters, set characters, generate outlines, or modify web fiction.
Installation and Enablement¶
The installation method provided on the SkillHub page is: instruct the current Agent to refer to the SkillHub Installation Documentation and install the coordinate @user_db490f21/shuangwenshengchengqi.
If the skillhub CLI is already installed on your machine, verify the version first, then install it to the current Agent’s skills directory. (Note: You must use --dir during installation; otherwise, it defaults to ./skills/, which the Agent may not be able to load).
command -v skillhub && skillhub --version
If the CLI is not installed, follow the official documentation to perform a complete installation (including CLI and default Skills):
curl -fsSL https://skillhub-1388575217.cos.ap-guangzhou.myqcloud.com/install/install.sh | bash
To install only the CLI:
curl -fsSL https://skillhub-1388575217.cos.ap-guangzhou.myqcloud.com/install/install.sh | bash -s -- --cli-only
Install this Skill to the corresponding directory (replace <skills目录> with the path for your current client):
skillhub install @user_db490f21/shuangwenshengchengqi --dir <skills目录>
Common skills paths listed in the SkillHub installation documentation include:
- Cursor:
~/.cursor/skills/ - Claude Code:
~/.claude/skills/ - Codex:
~/.codex/skills/or.agents/skills/under the project
After installation, restart or refresh the Agent according to your client’s requirements to load the new Skill. This Skill does not require API Key configuration; if your client has options for “Enable Community Skills” or project-level skills paths, ensure they match the --dir target above.
Typical Usage¶
The official page does not provide independent command-line sub-tools; usage involves stating writing intentions in the conversation, and the Agent executes after reading the Skill. The following examples correspond to the capabilities in the introduction and can be tried directly after installation.
Generate Outline & Protagonist Settings (Xuanhuan example; genre can be swapped to urban, system, etc.):
Use Thriller Generator: Genre is Xuanhuan, protagonist is a waste turned overachiever. Please generate an outline (divided into volumes) for a 300,000-word story and core personas for the protagonist and antagonist, marking the "cheat" (golden finger) and main conflicts.
Continue Writing Based on Existing Text:
Use Thriller Generator: Attached is the full text of the previous chapter. Please continue writing the next chapter, around 3000 words. Maintain the existing person, tone, and "face-slapping" pacing. Do not change existing character names or realm settings.
Polishing and Editing:
Use Thriller Generator: The pacing in the following chapter is flat. Please polish it and strengthen the conflicts and "satisfaction points" (爽点), but do not change the character personas or plot direction.
Through the steps above, the same Skill covers the entire chain from project setup to serialized continuation and local editing. Specific prompt templates and taboos should be based on the SKILL.md within the installation package.
Use Cases and Notes¶
Who is it for?
- Those writing web novels or satisfying fiction in environments supporting Skills (like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) who want to reduce the cost of “re-explaining settings every time.”
- Those who need outlines, character profiles, continuation, and polishing to be completed under a single set of Skill constraints rather than scattered prompts.
Points to Note
- This is a community-sourced (community) Skill; content and update frequency are maintained by the publisher. Before use, check the version v1.0.5 and description on SkillHub to ensure it meets your compliance and copyright requirements.
- Generated content still requires human review regarding plot, copyright, and platform norms; the Skill is a writing aid and does not replace creative responsibility.
- SkillHub Statistics (based on page and crawled data): Rating 100000, Downloads 1238; metrics such as installation counts will fluctuate, so refer to the SkillHub real-time page.
- Do not assume capabilities not explicitly stated in official materials (e.g., auto-publishing to specific platforms, fixed word count engine parameters); the local
SKILL.mdis the authoritative description.
Conclusion¶
“Thriller Generator” encapsulates the repetitive aspects of web novel writing—outlines, personas, chapter-by-chapter continuation, style consistency, and polishing—into an installable Agent Skill that requires no additional API Key. If you are looking for content creation tools on SkillHub, you can start by installing and verifying it via the official entries and the page.
