Introduction¶
When building agents or workflows, information sources are often scattered across various platforms. Bilibili (B-Site) updates quickly with diverse topics; manually clicking through each one is time-consuming and prone to missing content relevant to current projects. Common practices include subscribing to RSS feeds, checking bookmarks periodically, or using generic crawlers to grab only titles and brief descriptions—the latter makes it difficult to judge “whether this video is actually worth the time.”
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) breaks down capabilities into installable plugins. Below is an introduction to the community plugin dsh-bili-scroll (Maintainer: c1overzz): It searches videos from the last few days within DSH based on keywords, reads the subtitle transcript item-by-item to determine value, and generates a Markdown daily report. If interaction features are enabled, it will also post comments on particularly valuable content and @ you. The plugin is categorized as a “Workflow.” You can find a brief introduction on the SkillHub Directory Page; source code and documentation are available on GitHub (MIT, current package version 2.0.0).
What is this¶
dsh-bili-scroll is positioned as a tool to run a round of Bilibili filtering for you every day—searching, reading subtitles, writing reports, and optionally @-mentioning you in the comment section. It does not replace your manual browsing entirely but fixes the “Search → Read Subtitles → Judge → Archive” loop into a scheduled duty task. Results are stored in out/<date>.md under the local plugin directory.
Unlike approaches that “only look at titles or AI summaries,” the plugin defaults to using the original subtitle text as the basis for judgment; videos without subtitles are skipped (unless you enable “Local Transcription” and install the transcription dependencies). Each entry in the report includes “why it is worth watching” and a one-sentence summary. Paragraph headers are fixed as ### BV_ID to facilitate statistics on how many items were selected for the day.
Core Features¶
The following capabilities are derived from the repository README and package.json descriptions.
Search and Filter¶
- Searches videos from the last few days based on Keywords of Interest in settings; if keywords are left empty, built-in default sets are used.
- Reads subtitles item-by-item before judging; skips videos without subtitles if local transcription is not enabled (the report reflects “N items skipped due to no subtitles”).
Daily Report Output¶
- Generates a Markdown report for each round:
out/<date>.md. - Report Detail Level can be selected in settings: Full / Thin / None.
Scheduling and Quota¶
- Peak/Off-peak Auto Refresh: Once the master switch is on, you can enable specific time slots like “12–14 noon” or “18–09 evening” to align with DeepSeek’s discount periods and save tokens.
- Daily Maximum Selections: Set to
0for manual trigger only, disabling automatic runs.
Interaction (Disabled by default, requires manual enabling)¶
- Auto Comment and @ You: Defaults to a maximum of 1 comment per round; adjustable up to 20 per round in settings; comments on the same video only once.
- Reply to Comments, Delivery Method (DM / Comment / Both), DM Recipient (UID), Bidirectional DM, etc., are configured in the “Interaction” tab.
- Red lines specified in the prompts include: no privacy leaks, no spamming, and no uncertain content written into the report.
Tools and Permission Boundaries¶
- The plugin internally launches a Python MCP (built-in bilibili-mcp) and registers tools with DSH.
- Executes the duty workflow defined in
prompts/duty.mdwithin a headless DSH session for each round; the working directory is the plugin’s home directory. - By default, only four read-only capabilities are exposed: Search Videos, Read Subtitles, Read Comments, View Video Info. “Post Comment” is only added after enabling auto-comment or reply. Capabilities like Upload, Post Dynamic, and Direct Messaging are not registered to the model for that round.
- If
AGENTS.mdexists in the workspace, the plugin reads and inlines it into the prompt for Persona and Tone (you can also write persona prompts directly in the “Preferences” tab).
Environment and Size¶
- Requires DSH ≥
0.1.7-rc.1; if the version is not met, the kernel may silently skip the plugin—installation won’t error out, but features won’t work. - Requires Node ≥ 22 (see
enginesinpackage.json). - Approx. 84 MB without “Local Transcription”; approx. 1 GB with transcription (includes Whisper model; smaller models can be swapped in settings).
- Python side requires Python 3.10+ or uv; if neither is present, clicking “Install Main Dependencies” allows the plugin to attempt self-downloading
uvto%USERPROFILE%\.dsh\bili-duty\bin\(README has mirror and verification instructions).
Installation and Activation¶
Installation commands follow the README original. Currently, installation from GitHub is recommended (README notes that latest may lag while npm account is suspended):
dsh plugin --profile web add github:c1overzz/dsh-bili-scroll
Once npm review resumes, you can switch to:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-bili-scroll
After installation, you must restart DSH once (the plugin is assembled at the bundle layer). Then open Settings → Bilibili Scroll.
For Desktop (DSH NEXT / 0.2.x) users, if the “Bilibili Scroll” setting page does not appear, the README points out that the plugin might not activate entirely on the desktop profile in versions 0.1.3 and earlier; this has been fixed since 0.1.4. You can try:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-bili-scroll
(Refer to your local DSH documentation for specific profiles.)
Typical Usage¶
The README summarizes the first-time usage into two steps.
1. Install Main Dependencies¶
Click “Install Main Dependencies” in the settings page. The plugin creates an independent venv in its own directory and installs dependencies like bilibili-api-python, aiohttp, mcp<2, qrcode, etc.; progress is written to install.log. If the button text is “Reinstall Dependencies” instead of “Reinstall Main Dependencies”, it indicates an old version (0.1.0), and you need to re-execute the add command above to upgrade.
2. Scan QR Code to Login¶
Click “Scan QR Code to Login” and scan the QR code with the mobile Bilibili app; select “Remember me / Long term” when confirming. Credentials are saved locally:
<DSH_HOME>/bili-duty/bili_credential.json
Not uploaded to third parties.
Daily Configuration¶
Settings are saved in <DSH_HOME>/bili-duty/config.json; modifications on the plugin settings page take precedence. Tab overview:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Daily | Peak/off-peak auto refresh, daily max count, “Videos it has scrolled” list |
| Preferences | Persona prompts, Keywords of Interest, auto-favorite, report granularity |
| Interaction | Auto-comment @, replies, delivery method, DM UID, etc. |
| Advanced | Install deps, test environment, scan QR, diagnostics, open home & report folders |
Manual run: Use “Run Now” on the settings page. The README mentions that some desktop users report “Auto Run” gets stuck; verify the environment with a manual run first.
Local Transcription: Simply enabling the switch is not enough; you must click “Install Transcription Dependencies”.
Scenarios and Notes¶
Who is it for
- Those already using DSH who want to turn Bilibili information ingestion into a fixed workflow and output archiveable Markdown daily reports.
- Willing to complete Bilibili QR code login locally and accept the plugin accessing local directories and network with current DSH process permissions.
Please confirm yourself before use
- The plugin runs with the user permissions you installed DSH with; before installation, it is recommended to read the source code and MIT license, as well as the NOTICE in the built-in
vendor/bilibili-mcp/. - Auto Comment and @ You uses your Bilibili account to speak; the README explicitly suggests users fill in the @ targets themselves in settings and do not enable it by default.
- The community directory SkillHub has no official affiliation with DeepSeek / High-Flyer; the DSH ecosystem is a community form of “everything is a plugin.” Facts in this article are subject to the repository README.
Feedback Channels (README): QQ group 1128547307; for reproducible issues, go to GitHub Issues with dsh version, plugin version, web/desktop environment, and duty.log snippets. Demo video: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1d8pU6xEZX/.
Conclusion¶
dsh-bili-scroll integrates “Search Bilibili → Read Subtitles → Write Report → Optional @” into a DSH plugin: configuration is on the settings page, artifacts are in the local out/ directory, and the tool surface is deliberately narrowed to reduce the room for operational errors during duty rounds. If you want to integrate information sources into your workflow, you can install it from the directory page or GitHub, then restart DSH, install dependencies, scan the QR code, and adjust keywords and peak/off-peak times according to the README.
