Introduction¶
A DeepSeek Harness “preset” is essentially a plugin manifest that determines which tools, skills, and sub-Agents an Agent has. Usually, this manifest can only be understood by inspecting YAML files, and the execution flow and component composition are fairly abstract. The agent-preset-graph-xww plugin renders this manifest as a ComfyUI-style node graph, showing the Agent’s composition and real-time execution state.
The plugin is maintained by laojingwei and is licensed under MIT. It runs in the Web client, does not modify Host state, and only reads existing service data to present a visual view.
Core features¶
- Node graph display: Renders the Agent preset as a ComfyUI-style node graph, with task entry on the left, various capability blocks in the middle, and the execution loop on the right.
- Real-time highlighting: Highlights the node currently executing in real time, and displays tool names, runtime duration, turn, and the preset used by the current session.
- Capability blocks and deployment-level plugins: Displays the various capability blocks declared in the preset (categorized by package name) and deployment-level plugins (plugins that are available but not part of the preset).
- Node details: Click a node to view details (ID, module, status, activation conditions, and statistics).
- Interaction and export: Supports node search, collapse/expand, auto-follow of executing nodes, and exporting the node graph as a PNG image.
Installation and enablement¶
Install it using DeepSeek Harness plugin management commands. Restart the DSH service after installation to activate it.
dsh plugin --profile web add agent-preset-graph-xww
If the target plugin has not yet been published to npm, it can also be installed from a GitHub repository or a local path:
# 从 GitHub 仓库安装
dsh plugin --profile web add github:laojingwei/agent-preset-graph-xww
# 本地工作副本安装
dsh plugin --profile web add link:D:/path/to/agent-preset-graph-xww
Usage¶
After installation, a third tab appears in the chat page tab bar of any session: Chat | Trace | Node Graph.
- View preset composition: View the complete structure of the Agent preset in the Node Graph tab.
- View details: Click any node, and the node’s detailed information and current-turn statistics expand below.
- Search and filter: Use the toolbar search to filter nodes by name, module, or entry ID; matching nodes are highlighted.
- Locate and follow: Use Locate to manually jump to a specific node. The default enabled Auto mode moves the canvas to follow the currently executing node.
- Export image: Click Export to save the current node graph as a PNG image at 2x resolution.
Dependencies and compatibility¶
- Platform: Web (DSH Web GUI).
- DeepSeek Harness version: ≥ 0.1.7-rc.2.
- Required services: The plugin depends on the
slots, locale, sessions, andremote.pluginInventoryservices. It will not activate if any one of them is missing. - Configuration requirements: No additional configuration is required.
Notes¶
- Tool mapping limitation: The mapping from tools to nodes only covers built-in DSH tools. Third-party tools rely on fuzzy matching and may not be highlighted precisely if their names are unrelated to package names.
- Preset composition source: The preset composition comes from the flattened result of the Plugin Inventory. Loader group hierarchy is not reflected in the graph.
- Highlight statistics scope: Highlight statistics are based only on the current turn; older calls outside the event window are not counted.
- Permission scope: The plugin runs with the current DSH process permissions. Review the source code and license before installing.
Conclusion¶
The preset node graph visualizes the abstract preset configuration in DeepSeek Harness as an intuitive node structure, helping developers understand an Agent’s composition and execution flow. For developers who need to monitor real-time Agent behavior or organize the structure of presets, this plugin provides a practical debugging view.
