Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts an “everything is a plugin” architecture, in which the plugin catalog in the community ecosystem is decoupled from official applications. When developing or interacting with agents through the Web interface, the default theme often cannot meet the need for customized visual details. dsh-bloomglass is a Web theme plugin that combines 10 OKLCH Morandi color palettes with a frosted glass effect and provides local wallpaper support. It aims to enhance the visual quality of the interface and is specifically adapted for the DS Bot (Bot Team) interface.

Plugin Positioning

dsh-bloomglass is a DSH Web theme plugin maintained by CosmoSail. By overriding the official token layer, it provides users with an independent frosted glass theme settings entry without modifying settings.yaml.

Core Features

10 Morandi Color Palettes
It provides 10 color palettes, including deep indigo, cinnabar, peach blossom, and sky blue. These palettes support light/dark adaptation and automatically adjust color depth based on system or manual switching.

Frosted Glass Effect
The frosted glass effect covers the left sidebar, conversation area, right sidebar, settings popup, and DS Bot’s fixed panels and overlays. After enabling a wallpaper, surface colors become semi-transparent according to the glass density, while text and borders remain opaque to ensure readability.

Local Wallpaper Support
It supports uploading local wallpapers in JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF format. The plugin imposes no file size limit; wallpaper files are stored in IndexedDB.

Independent Settings Panel
It provides an independent “Bloom Glass” configuration page in DSH settings. Users can select a palette here and use sliders to adjust glass density, blur, saturation, and darkening level.

DS Bot Interface Adaptation
The plugin takes over DS Bot interface rendering. It prioritizes --bt-* variables and overrides the original 6 DSH tokens in ds-bot, ensuring that the sidebar, bubbles, panels, and other elements in the Bot interface fully follow the current theme palette.

Installation and Activation

Prerequisite: dsh web is already running.

  1. Run the install command:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-bloomglass

Or install directly from the repository:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:CosmoSail/dsh-bloomglass
  1. You must restart dsh web (refreshing the page alone is not enough to load the plugin).

  2. Open settings and find the “Bloom Glass” option to configure it.

On first launch, the plugin automatically reads the color scheme left by the old plugin (dsh-bloom-variant in localStorage), the glass parameters (dsh-frosted-window:knobs), and the wallpaper settings in IndexedDB.

Technical Details and Notes

Implementation Mechanism
The plugin does not write to settings.yaml and does not request any remote URL. It uses the official overrideTokens overlay to implement theme switching instead of calling setTheme('custom').

Data Storage
Wallpaper files are stored in IndexedDB; knob parameters (such as glass density) are stored in localStorage.

Interaction with ds-bot
The plugin has token precedence. If it detects that ds-bot has registered a token with the same name, the plugin pushes its own value back. Therefore, ds-bot’s “Appearance Settings” (theme/accent color) no longer apply to the Bot interface; the Bot interface is fully controlled by Bloom Glass.

Official Themes Preserved
The official Light / Dark / System themes remain authoritative. The plugin overlays effects through the override layer and does not disrupt the default light/dark switching logic.

Conclusion

dsh-bloomglass provides a Web interface beautification solution that can be implemented without modifying configuration files, especially suitable for developers who need a highly customized visual experience.
