DeepSeek Harness (DSH) follows the philosophy of “everything is a plugin.” Developers usually have to manually maintain the MCP server list and Agent skill directories in configuration files. This approach lacks visual interaction and can lead to higher debugging and maintenance costs. dsh-mcp-skill-panel solves this problem by adding dedicated management pages to the DSH settings menu.

It is a client-side plugin maintained by hardai520 and released under the MIT license. It adds two entries, “MCP Management” and “Skill Management,” to the DSH Web mode settings interface for visually managing the MCP servers and merged skill directory of the current profile.

Core Features

MCP Management

Lists the MCP servers currently running in the current profile within the settings menu. It supports managing the patch layer, including adding, editing, enabling/disabling, deleting, and testing connections. It also supports viewing the list of features registered by each server.

Skill Management

Merges the skill directories of all Agent presets into a single read-only roster. It supports searching, filtering by source, viewing by project directory, and expanding two levels to preview the skill body.

Patch Layer Control

The plugin directly modifies the cordis.patch.yml file of the current mode, rather than a plugin-private state file. If the host has patchReload: live enabled, write operations take effect immediately.

Installation and Enablement

Run the following command in the DSH root directory:

pnpm dsh plugin --profile web add "github:hardai520/dsh-mcp-skill-panel#v0.3.0"

After installation, restart dsh web to apply the changes.

Typical Usage

  1. Open the settings menu. “MCP Management” and “Skill Management” will appear on the left side.
  2. On the MCP Management page, you can add or edit configurations. It supports pasting configurations in Claude/VS Code or cordis.patch.yml format, and you can also test connections.
  3. On the Skill Management page, you can search for skills, filter by source, and view project-level skills.

Apply-to Scenarios and Notes

  • Web and Desktop Isolation: The Web mode and desktop desktop in DSH use two separate MCP configurations and do not communicate with each other by default. The plugin determines the read/write target based on the current ctx.profileContext.
  • Read-only Skill Management: Skill Management is read-only. Enabling/disabling belongs to the provider-layer policy and is not handled by this plugin.
  • Restart Required: You must restart dsh web after installation or upgrade, otherwise interface changes may not appear.

This plugin simplifies the operations and maintenance of MCP servers and skill directories through a unified settings interface. For more details, please refer to the plugin directory or the GitHub repository.
