Introduction

When developing agents with DeepSeek Harness, models frequently encounter multiple-choice questions that require human confirmation. Without external assistance, developers must rely on the context to make their own judgments. The dsh-jev-advisor plugin introduces the Jev model from TypeSafe System One, providing human decision support when a model asks for a multiple-choice response.

Plugin Overview

gordan-code/dsh-jev-advisor is a client-side plugin designed to provide a “second opinion” from Jev for human operators when a model presents a multiple-choice question. It does not modify the model’s prompts or take over the agent’s decision logic; instead, it displays Jev’s judgment as a reference for the user.

Core Features

  1. Structured request conversion: Converts multiple-choice questions into structured TypeSafe requests.
  2. Decision visualization: Displays the recommended option, probability distribution, and confidence.
  3. Transparent details: Provides a collapsible JSON details block showing the underlying request and response.
  4. One-click adoption: Includes a button to directly submit Jev’s choice.
  5. Standalone configuration: The API Key is configured under Settings -> Jev, without intruding on the model invocation flow.

Installation and Activation

Install it using DSH’s plugin command. After installation, configure the API Key under Settings -> Jev to start using it.

Installation Command

dsh plugin --profile <p> add github:gordan-code/dsh-jev-advisor

Configure the API Key

After installation and restarting the host, go to the Settings -> Jev menu and paste the API Key. This is the only configuration item.

Typical Usage

  1. When the model presents a multiple-choice question in the conversation, a suggestion card appears on the side of the interface.
  2. Review the recommended option, probability distribution, Jev’s confidence, and the underlying JSON details in the card.
  3. Click the “Adopt” button to directly submit Jev’s choice.

Applicable Scenarios and Notes

  • Applicable scenarios: Suitable for scenarios that require human decision support, especially when the model presents multiple-choice questions.
  • Manual confirmation: The plugin does not automatically apply suggestions; you must manually click the “Adopt” button.
  • Not a gating tool: It does not restrict tool visibility nor act as a gate for the agent loop (this feature is provided by other plugins such as @buberlo/dsh-jev).
  • License: MIT License.

Summary

dsh-jev-advisor is a tool focused on assisting human decision-making. By providing structured Jev analysis and suggestions for multiple-choice questions, it reduces the decision cost for developers during the confirmation stage. It is simple to install, ready to use after configuration, and well-suited as an assisted decision component in the DeepSeek Harness workflow.
