Introduction¶
The plugin ecosystem of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) enables models from different sources to be connected to a unified interface. dsh-workbuddy-connect-functy is a feature-enhanced branch of corrinehu/dsh-workbuddy-connect. It integrates WorkBuddy desktop app models directly into DSH through a dashboard UI, multi-account rotation, and quota display, addressing the lack of visual management for locally connected models.
Feature Overview¶
This plugin provides the following capabilities:
- Dashboard UI: Displays a quota card at the bottom of the sidebar. Click it to expand a center-column panel to view the full data.
- Multi-account rotation: Supports adding multiple accounts via QR code, web token, or desktop credentials. Requests automatically rotate among available accounts. Rate-limited accounts are automatically set aside and retried later.
- Quota display: The sidebar can show remaining quota or a “used/total” format. Domestic enterprise accounts use the enterprise billing API.
- Image input: Most models support pasting or dragging images directly.
- Reasoning tier detection: Tiers declared by the upstream are displayed directly. Undeclared tiers can be manually detected in the selector on Web/Desktop (this sends a few requests and may deduct credits).
- Model visibility: Controls model visibility in the selector without affecting existing conversations.
Installation and Enablement¶
Prerequisites: You must install and sign in to the WorkBuddy desktop app first (the same applies to the international version).
Compatible versions: This plugin supports DSH 0.1.7-alpha.1, 0.2.0-rc.1, and 0.2.0-rc.2. Newer prerelease versions are not automatically applied.
Installation steps:
- Open DSH’s Settings → Plugins (or a similar entry point).
- Click Add Plugin.
- Enter one of the following identifiers and confirm the installation:
dsh-workbuddy-connect-functy
or
github:functy23/dsh-workbuddy-connect-functy
- After installation is complete, refresh the page or restart the DSH client.
Note: Do not install dsh-workbuddy-connect from npm; it is the upstream package and is not in the same lineage as this repository.
Usage¶
After installation and enablement, the plugin automatically reads WorkBuddy’s login state. In the DSH chat interface, simply select a WorkBuddy-related model from the model selector. The input box shows the rate multiplier and reasoning tier, while the bottom bar shows current usage and quota.
Notes and Limitations¶
- Accounts and login: The plugin depends on WorkBuddy client APIs. It may need to be updated after the app is updated. International enterprise billing is unverified.
- Platform differences:
- Verified under Web / Desktop on macOS (requires Node 22+).
- Windows probes the Local and Roaming AppData directories in sequence.
- WSL prefers reading the mounted Windows user directory.
- International version risk: The international model catalog comes from the app UI API, which is a private implementation and may become invalid. International model groups may not appear without credentials.
- Configuration entry: The configuration entry is located at “Settings → DSH-WorkBuddy”.
Summary¶
dsh-workbuddy-connect-functy improves the manageability of WorkBuddy models in DSH through its dashboard and rotation mechanisms. If you need to manage multiple WorkBuddy accounts and view local quotas, this is a practical tool.
