Introduction

In the ecosystem philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), all capabilities are extended through plugins. For scenarios that require rigorous engineering delivery, interacting directly with an Agent often lacks structured process constraints. dsh-plugin-oh-my-engine is a plugin designed for this purpose. It introduces an approval-gated OME engineering delivery mode, integrating the Oh My Engine (OME) engineering workflow into DSH’s Web and Desktop configuration profiles.

What Is This

dsh-plugin-oh-my-engine is maintained by oh-my-engine and is an approval-gated OME engineering delivery agent preset for DeepSeek Harness. The plugin adds an isolated ome-engineer preset to DSH’s Web and Desktop configuration profiles. It preserves platform neutrality for OME, consumes services through OME’s public lifecycle APIs, and stores runtime state only in the active DSH session event log.

Core Features

The plugin mainly provides the following capabilities:

  • File system: Supports operations on engineering files.
  • Shell: Supports command execution in a sandbox environment.
  • Session events: Manages Session state and lifecycle events.
  • Workflow: Defines and executes a complete engineering delivery process.

Installation and Enabling

The plugin does not depend on Git or GitHub SSH; it can be installed by directly downloading the prebuilt package. The Web and Desktop profiles need to be installed separately.

  1. Install the Web profile plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/oh-my-engine/dsh-plugin-oh-my-engine/releases/download/v0.1.6/dsh-plugin-oh-my-engine-0.1.6.tgz
  1. Install the Desktop profile plugin:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add https://github.com/oh-my-engine/dsh-plugin-oh-my-engine/releases/download/v0.1.6/dsh-plugin-oh-my-engine-0.1.6.tgz
  1. Install the OME preset (must be executed under the Desktop profile):
dsh plugin --profile desktop exec dsh-ome preset install

After installation is complete, restart the main program of the profile and select OME Engineering Delivery Mode to use it.

Typical Usage

The plugin provides a dedicated set of CLI commands and tools for managing engineering delivery processes:

  • Initialization and state management

    • /ome-init: Initializes OME without forcing or implicitly overwriting.
    • /ome-status: Reads the current Session state.
    • /ome-cancel [reason]: Cancels the currently running process.
  • Approval process

    • /ome-approve: This is the only accepted source for plan approval.
  • Diagnostics and maintenance

    • dsh plugin --profile web exec dsh-ome doctor: Diagnoses the running state of the Web profile.
    • dsh plugin --profile desktop exec dsh-ome preset update: Updates the preset (this operation creates a full backup and rejects unmanaged preset directories).

Applicable Scenarios and Notes

Applicable scenarios:

The plugin is suitable for engineering delivery modes that require strict phase gates and user approval. It is appropriate for development teams that want to reuse OME’s standardized processes in DSH.

Notes:

  1. CLI limitation: The plugin’s CLI tools are limited to profile-local use and are intentionally not added to the system PATH. They must be run through the profile where the plugin is installed.
  2. Port occupation: If you encounter EADDRINUSE 127.0.0.1:3080 when starting DSH Web, it means that another DSH Web process is already using the default port; this is not a plugin installation failure. You can diagnose the issue with dsh plugin --profile web exec dsh-ome doctor, or use dsh web --port 0 --no-open to let the system choose an available port.
  3. Context inheritance: Sub-agents inherit context, but can only invoke ome_status.
  4. Evidence requirement: Test evidence must reference a successful previous tool call in the same session.
  5. Compatibility check: Before upgrading DeepSeek Harness, you must rerun the profile and Session compatibility checks.
  6. License: The plugin is open source under the MIT License.

Summary

dsh-plugin-oh-my-engine provides DeepSeek Harness with a structured engineering delivery solution. Through /ome-* commands and session event logs, it implements complete lifecycle management from definition to learning. The plugin does not modify other presets such as Standard, Code, or Minimal, and only takes effect for the selected OME preset.
