Introduction¶
The default interface style of the Web GUI for DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is relatively unified. The dsh-background plugin draws a wallpaper layer in the background (supporting static images, animated images, or video) and overlays a frosted-glass-style control panel on top, allowing users to customize an immersive or playful interface appearance. This plugin is maintained by developer liuliyisui.
Core Features¶
The plugin primarily provides the following capabilities:
* Multimedia background support: Supports local static images, animated GIFs/WebPs, and videos (mp4/webm/ogv/mov) as interface backgrounds.
* Frosted glass effect: Interface elements use a frosted-glass style, combined with a floating control panel.
* Built-in aurora gradient: Provides built-in aurora gradient background options.
* Persistent configuration: Settings are automatically saved to the background namespace in $DSH_HOME/settings.yaml.
* Data stream parsing: The v3 version was rewritten, optimizing the data stream parsing mechanism.
Usage¶
- Run the
dsh webcommand and enter the immersive Web interface. - Click the gear icon in the bottom-right corner to open the settings panel.
- In the settings, select a local image, animated image, or video file, then click Apply.

Notes¶
- Version note: The v3 version is a complete rewrite, not an incremental update.
- File upload method: Background images do not support direct drag-and-drop; they must be uploaded by copy-pasting or using other methods.
- Loading state: While Settings are being loaded, they enter a loading state and may be briefly unavailable.
- Dependencies: This plugin depends on packages related to
deepseek-ai.
