DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides a web interface for configuring and running agents. During prolonged use, developers may need to adjust the interface style to fit personal habits or specific visual environments. dsh-ui-customizer is a visual customization plugin for DSH Web, allowing users to directly adjust colors, fonts, backgrounds, and component styles through a panel without modifying the source code.

Feature Overview

The plugin provides a complete visual customization solution, mainly including the following modules:

  • Master Switch: Controls enabling and disabling the DIY theme. When turned off, all override settings are removed.
  • Skin Center: Provides 8 one-click preset schemes, and users can fine-tune based on the presets.
  • Color System: Supports brand color, accent color, success/warning/error status colors, and neutral color directions (blue-gray, cool gray, warm gray, graphite).
  • Font Settings: Configures UI fonts and code fonts, and supports overall scaling (80%-140%) and text scaling (80%-130%).
  • Background Settings: Supports custom image URLs (subject to browser security policy permission) and adjusts panel opacity and glass effect.
  • Component Styles: Adjusts shadow levels and corner radius to control visual depth and roundness.
  • My Schemes: Saves the complete theme configuration as a preset and supports switching at any time.

Installation and Enablement

Before installing, ensure that Node.js is installed on your system (required to run npx).

  1. Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-ui-customizer@latest
*(Note: Starting from v1.1.0, this plugin is declared as a standard bundle and will be automatically registered to `dsh.profile.bundles`.)*
  1. Fully restart the DSH Web process to load the plugin:
    npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web
  1. Open the web interface in your browser and go to Settings → DIY Theme to use the customization panel.

Usage

After entering the DIY Theme panel, all changes are previewed in real time.

  • Apply: Saves the current configuration.
  • Revert: Undoes unsaved changes.
  • Reset: Restores factory defaults.

Data Storage and Compatibility

  • Data Storage: Theme configurations and schemes are stored in the browser’s localStorage; uploaded media files (if any) are stored in IndexedDB. Data is not uploaded to DSH servers.
  • Image Loading: Loading remote image URLs is subject to browser security policies, CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing), and server response headers.
  • Compatibility: DSH versioning iterates quickly, and official tokens, slots, and page structure may change, which can affect plugin functionality compatibility.
  • Readability Design: The plugin follows a “readability-first” principle. Ambient surfaces (such as the main background and sidebar) become transparent according to opacity settings, while overlays (dialogs, menus, input fields) maintain approximately 94% opacity to ensure text remains clearly visible.

Summary

dsh-ui-customizer provides a no-code visual customization entry point for DSH Web. It uses local storage to manage configurations and is suitable for developers who frequently adjust interface styles or need unified visual style management. The plugin is open source (MIT License) and maintained by Final-LX.
